2026 Earth Week Sprouting Competition

Submission and Judging Criteria
All participants must submit a visual entry documenting their sprouting journey, following these guidelines:
Submission content should include the following:

A simple photo journal/report to document the sprouting journey

A video expressing their thoughts on what they learned from sprouting and how they think it could benefit the planet.
Format limits:

Photos need to be clear and visible.

Any written text (captions, diary entries, labels) must be no more than 250 words in total per page.

Videos must be a maximum of 1 minute in total.
Submission format:

Please upload using the following formats:

PDF for the photo journal/report (show your creativity in whatever format you like!)

A link to your 1-minute unlisted video that was uploaded to your YouTube Channel (kindly watch this video if you need help uploading to YouTube and getting your link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rohiO0TWdQc )

Judging criteria:

Creativity and originality in how the journey is presented.

Clarity and effort in showing the plant’s growth over time.
-
Neatness and organization (clear captions, simple layout, easy to follow).

Sprouting Period
Students can start sprouting during Earth Week, starting on April 20, 2026, creating their entry journals/reports, and having fun from the day they receive their kits.

Submission Deadline
All entries submitted enteries are now under assessments by our judges.

The judging panel’s decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Sprouting Competition 2026, and Sprout Heroes reserves the right to modify competition rules or cancel the event at its sole discretion. By submitting this entry, participants and their guardians grant Sprout Heroes approval to reproduce, and display submitted content—including photos, videos, and written work—for promotional, educational, or social media purposes. By clicking submit during registration, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms and that all provided information is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
About the Competition
For Primary School Kids (Ages 6–12)
Earth Week is a special week to think about our planet and how we can protect it. Be part of our mission to save 100,000 gallons of water this year.
Let’s "Sprout Together" Earth Week Competition 2026 invites primary school students to grow seeds in jars to promote sustainable urban farming, nutrition, and community building. This hands‑on activity will help students learn about plants, food sovereignty and sustainability in time for Earth Day.
Prizes:
1st Place: HK$1000 Vouchers
2nd Place: HK$500 Vouchers
3rd Place: HK$300 Vouchers
*All winners will also be eligible for a three months seed subscription
