Dessert Ideas made with Sprouts

Temper dark chocolate (70%+), spread it thin, and immediately sprinkle with chopped nuts, dried cranberries, and finely chopped radish sprouts. The slight spice cuts the richness of the chocolate beautifully.

Method

Blend alfalfa sprouts with fresh lemon juice, zest, simple syrup, and a touch of mint. Churn in an ice cream maker for a refreshing, vibrant green sorbet.

3. Mung Bean Sprouts with Sago Sweet Soup

Method

Make a classic sago in coconut milk dessert. Just before serving, stir in a handful of fresh, crisp mung bean sprouts. They will float like little noodles, adding a juicy pop to every spoonful.

4. Banana Sprout Bread

Ingredient
  • Dry Bowl: 1 ¾ cups sprouted wheat flour, 1 tsp baking soda, ½ tsp salt, 1 tsp cinnamon.

  • Wet Bowl: 3 mashed ripe bananas, ⅓ cup melted butter/oil, ⅔ cup brown sugar, 2 eggs, 1 tsp vanilla, ⅓ cup yogurt.

  • Extra: 1 cup nuts or chocolate chips (optional).

Instruction
  1. Heat Oven: Turn to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.

  2. Mix: Stir all Dry Bowl ingredients together in one bowl. Mash bananas and mix with all Wet Bowl ingredients in a bigger bowl.

  3. Combine: Pour dry mix into wet mix. Stir gently just until combined. Fold in nuts/chips.

  4. Bake: Pour into pan. Bake 55-60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.

  5. Cool: Let cool in pan 10 minutes, then remove to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
